"unfortunately the optimizer is not the longest most reliable part the company that made them is also out of business. it will need a custom tune remove the optimizer and lock the kit in valet mode so it does not make boost, give this guy a call he does all Chrysler PCM upgrades his website is BGperformancepcm.com and his number is (586) 758 2003. their is some new software out that should be able to tune it we just have not received it yet but check out that website."

As mentioned in posts in other areas, I know nothing about "tuners". Anyone famialiar with the company they recommend, or have other recommendations?

Dave would be able to flash your pcm, I think he's doing SCT stuff now too. At this point tho, I'd go for the SCT instead of a flash.

Yep. Rip all that crap out and talk to Sean Powell this weekend at Carlisle.

Pardoning my ignorance, but what does the SCT provide that the reflash won't? What exactly is the SCT? What kind of money might I be looking at, for either option?

SCT provides more tunability and Sean doesn't charge for tweaks to your tune, you pay once and he'll keep fixing it till it's right. Whereas with a flash you pay for the initial flash, and then $250 every time you need a tweak. I think the regular price for the SCT from Sean is $599, but you'll have to check with him, that might have changed. So it's a lil more than an initial flash, which I believe is $430, but you have to take into account the tweaks.

How often would I need to change the tuning? Wouldn't it be set up according to my specs/mods, and I'd be good to go? Is it an ongoing thing?

Shouldn't require any extra tuning unless you change mods. But getting the initial tune right will take some tweaking.

And this is done with the OBD port? Nothing under the hood?

Right, the XCalibrator plugs into the OBD port to load the tunes, and it uses all the stock sensors, so there's no wiring involved at all.

Definately go with sct. You will be happy you did.
