Is it the same location as last year? at that paint shop in Pontiac? I'm thinking of coming down from the UP if i can get my truck to not look like I just drove it down dirt trails to find trout streams (which i just did).

I left a message for Kevin and have not heard back from him. I won't be there this year as my niece decided to get married on the 18th. Rob, maybe you could stop in & talk to John? Hope they are still willing to host us!

She's running great! The new tune from Sean is great! It takes off a lot faster! Going to look for a new bumper next week as well. When I get the money to beef up my trans it should be even faster!! Are you coming up for the cruise?

cool. yea I noticed a definite improvement in bottom end response and a much smoother part throttle cruise with mine as well, but being a stick vs auto, I can feel every little thing the engine does where as you'll lose some of that feel through the torque converter until you're locked up in OD.

I'm not going to be going to the cruise. the Nats is enough to keep me busy!

I know its a newb question but what is the benefit of lets say swapping out to a two pin 518 without torque converter lockup?

None that I know of, unless you're going with a stand alone EFI/carb set-up and won't have the PCM to shift the 46RE. but on a stock computer, it's not like you're saving any weight.

If you went with an older hydro trans that's not computer controlle, you'd need to go with a manual trans PCM or deal with check engine lights, and trans codes because the PCM won't "see" a 46RH

Thanks for the insight, it was just something i was always wondering. I guess the best bet is to switch it over to a manual valve body in my 46re, that will eliminate the shift silenoids correct?

Me and a couple buddies are planning on going down Friday and/or Saturday. We're from the Flint area so we were planning on Back to the Bricks, but they're ruining it. More and more rules every year. No burnouts, rolling cruise ends at 9pm this year instead of the 10pm it was last year and the year before and the no limit there was before that. Hopefully my Kenne Bell Dakota will be ready for a nice little 60 mile cruise.

On the cruise weekend its impossible to do a burnout anyway, it's bumper to bumper traffic. I may head out tonight or tomorrow seeing i only live a 1/4 mile from 12 & woodward.
