Ok well my best 1/8th mile time on a 97 degree 94% humidity day was a
9.16@76 mph, with a 0.51 reaction. The slicks were fun, but at 20, 17,16 psi the rim is slipping in the tire. Anyone screw the beads on their slicks with 15x8 dodge wheels? I am also noticing my rear end is not working as good. Once it gets hot its starting to be more consistant one tire fire instead of 2. So I am throwing around the idea of a 4.56 gearing, and either Detroit Locker it, or spool it and be done with. Any input on that guys? My 60ft ranged from 1.9 to 2.11 all day long. Also the AFR was sitting at 14.7 at 4000 rpm when I was in the boost. Should I add 8 bigger injectors over the stockers on it now? Or would adjusting the fuel curve solve this issue? My truck does idle way to lean at idle since new bigger exhaust, it idles at 15.8. Ok sorry for novel just need some input. I had fun, but now my tire in my brain is spinning like crazy to fix this. with a blower youre only getting 76 mph???

With the tires... id have them reseated with some bead glue. You aint making enough power to need them beadlocked.

14.7 is way lean for boost. If you have stock injectors they are probably taxed pretty hard.

What he said, glue the slicks, and get more fuel in that thing. I'm surprised something didn't pop with it running that lean under boost. No spools for the 9.25 rearend, Detroit is the strongest option for us.

What are you running for fuel, fmu, aux injectors? Definitely need more, might be time to go with the SCT setup and a 2 bar map.

I agree with Barry. I've turned some 1.58 60's with mine and they've stayed put.

What size rim are you running? Mine's an 8.5" with the 9" slick.

I am running aux injectors off a Split second box, and it dumps 11 to 12 afr when I get hard in the throttle, but once the rpms start slowly climbing the thing creeps back to 14.7. What size injectors do you suggest? Dan

Ok, where can I get bead glue? I am running the 15x8 Dakota rims in the picture below, with the 9 inch slick like you suggested. Dan

Thats what I was thinking, any idea where I can find bead glue? Also any input on injectors? Thanx for reading. Dan

Ok, where can I get bead glue?

The place that mounted the tires for you should have some on hand, or at least they should have access to some. After they re-seal them, I'd air them up to about 45 psi and leave them like that until the next time you run them, then lower the pressure to your racing specs.

On my blower setup I'm using 45lbs injectors, 2 bar map and a SCT tune. Runs like a champ. What blower do you have? Here are some pix of mine.

After bouncing some idea's off a fellow blown R/Ter I've come to the conclusion I need to rent a laptop, download the split second cd on it, take box apart plug in laptop and adjust the fuel on the secondary injectors. So I will see where that takes me, cause it has never been tuned really with this Paxton Novi2000 setup. Also I pulled all the spark plugs, they are not tan mean lean, or black meaning excessive rich. They where a brown, and no specs or anything on them leading to detionation. So I think I am off to fetch a laptop and get her tuned. I really thank you all for replying, and will try the tire glue trick. Also hunting some 4.56 gears, and detriot locker any clues for best price on them? Dan
