My trucks butt make-over - Part I&II

Yep, here's Kota. This is what I've been up to lately. I'm doing the exterior of my truck. First is the rear. I ditched the rear bumper (sold it) and I just have a roll pan in it's place for now. I also removed the "DODGE" and "5.9" and kept the "R/T" on the tailgate. I bought another set of taillights and candied them & painted the trim (I think a first to do this). Also, the brake/driving light setup has changed. The lower two bars are now the brake/signal lights, and the upper part is the light that dims when the headlights are on. As for a reverse light, I have none. But, to just give it away, a "Challenger inspired" reverse light is in the works....:stirthepo

Now, here is when you guys & gals come in. I have my new tailgate badges ready to be put on, BUT I need to decide the layout. They will be beside each other to keep the theme "SLP R/T", but I don't know how to place them, so take a vote! Thanks guys! Positive feedback please! I've been trying to think of original ideas here.

no, I don't agree with either badging scheme. But, you can make a connection back to Mercedes/DC with Jody's, a lot better that the SLP thing. Everybody knows SLP is GM, and some ford stuff. I was thinking about doing a whole SRT8 dakota thing with my R/T last year. But I talked myself out of it, because I didn't want to hear the poser stuff. I got the idea from a car i saw in Hot Rod last year. Some guy did a Z28 Nova that looked pretty cool. It was sort of a 'what if the factory had done this" type of deal. He pulled it off well.

If my memory serves me right, here are the right specs.....

APC windshild banner= 3 tenths and 4 mph

K&N stickers= 2 tenths 3 mph, 2 mph, and 10 HP

NOPI back glass sticker= 2 tenths and a 16 year blond w/big tits

Large white bowtie or blue oval on tinted back glass= -3 tenths

Truck looks good. I can see what your saying about the brand and running their gear. That works sometimes. For example having a hurst Equipped badge on if your runnin a Hurst shifter is OK. A company that mainly build for GM (like SLP) isn't. Its the same thing as putting a BBK R/T badge on if you had a BBK exhaust.

If you were (for some crazy reason) running a LS2 then it'd fit. I doubt youd be accepted here though lol.

Tail lights look good :biggthumpup: You're not the first tho, a few folks have 'em like that, it's the best way to do tails imo. I don't care for any of the aftermarket tail lights. I have a spare set of stockers that I'm gonna candy and do the trim, one of these days LOL
