View Full Version : Went to the dyno
yup finally went to the dyno after finishing my build to do alil dyno tuning with sean (hemifever) and cam up with this
OPIE

ended up with 293rwhp and 331ftlbs tourqe
and this is my mod list
K&N fipkit
53mm throttle body
m1
1.72 scorpion rr
eddy heads (no work)
210x cam
underdrive pulley
and sct
gsm headers true duel exhaust w/high flow cats and race bullet muffs
if you look at the graphs the blue line is B&G flash computer and the red line is sct
as you can see sct netted me an extra 30 lbs and 15 horses down low the b&g could not so hey get a tuner guys cause this shit is fo real lol

nice numbers.... those are almost identical to mine. I ran 292hp and 322ft-lbs to the wheels. Only thing different from my setup than urs is I have a custom flash from tom fox instead of a SCT tuner and I have the PPH headers with duals instead of the spintech ones so thats prob what explains the 1hp and 9 ft-lbs difference I guess....

Where can I get this sct tuner from?

Email Sean Powell. hemifever@aol. His tune was much better than the B&G 408 flash that I had.
so i took it out to the track for the first time at mopar madness and the first day was hot hot hot but i managed to squeak out a 13.77 at 100mph. not bad for a hot day lol. that was n/a the second day i put 75shot on it and ran a 13.00 @105 at noon time so it was like 100 degrees so i know it has the 12's in it just needs to cool down alil bit. plus im getting some adjustable shocks front and rear so that should help...i will have to say love my dr's man i had no problems hooking up at all

Good job man, glad everything is working out for you. Wait til you spray 150 shot!:burnout:

Congrats, near 300rwhp is stout! 150 shot would be wicked - 400RWHP - 425RWHP

nice numbers but tell ya the truth i was excepting more out of these setups, atleast around 325rwhp, ive seen dyno numbers on just m1, 52 tb, 1.7s, exhaust, pph headers, msd 6a, push 275-280, with eddy heads 20-30 extra and lil more with the 210x cam, am i wrong for thinkin this? it just seems the number are somewhat low or i may just be expectin to much.

i feel this way too. on KRC's website they say about 320hp to the wheels on the lightning killer package which is similar to this. im making 292 with a better converter and trans than the mopar one on the lightning killer package so something seems not right. HOWEVER they do say mid to low 13's in regular cabs and before my new trans and converter I ran a 13.4 so who knows maybe KRC used a dyno that reads higher than most. even if i get the SCT tuner though i dont see making any more than 300 to the wheels.

seems krc has been tampering with the dyno sheets or deleted it, the lightening package original started with the 210x cam but got yanked out and replaced with the 220 cam, but you right about the 320 at the wheels, now their dyno sheet is stating the 220 cam instead of the 210x cam, heres the list that im thinkin is for the 210x cam now
*210/220 comp cam, Stock bottom end 360, KRC 1.92 street Extrudehone heads, M-1 Extrudehone 2 bbl, 52 CNC TB, 1.6 Comp roller rockers, Ceramic Mopar headers, B&G modified PCM, high flow cat, 3" Magnaflow exhaust. 304/320 ft/lbs*
with sct should be able to fine tune to the motor better then b&g could and it use to state when this setup was ran it couldve used a 4bbl m1 and larger TB which is what was restricting it.
could there be any more gains with a msd 6a? least im not alone on this
as far as the msd 6a goes ill find out when i head back to the dyno cause i put it on after i dynod my truck....i do think 300 is there with this setup....i think the old lightning package had head work on the eaddy heads....i dont and i dont think you do either....i think it was just there street port and polish job...that would definatley put us over 300 so the potential is there....

Actually they started with the 220 cam. They switched to 210x as the shorter duration and tighter lobe sep made more torque.

Looks good but Im guessing at the track teh FIPK is killing your et/mph.
Try removing it on a pass (it wont hurt anything).
You should see at least 1/10th or better in et.
And is the 53mm a fastman? You might see a hair better improvement with a billet TB.

Yea I agree. Swap to a billet tb.

Its not a fastman TB but one of the old Sick TB's selling on ebay a few years back. The ones with the orange spring. But yeah basically the same thing.
We both tried runnin without the filter on the tube and seen small gains. The weather killed us. I wasnt close to my best either and had added a 52mm F&B,MSD,Coil, and wires.
One thing we did notice was that when his truck shifted into 3rd it shifted fine then bogged down shortly after the shift. I'll let him go over that though and the details/specs. I think thats what hurt his times to be honest.

yeah what he said lol. but in all seriousness like drew said after she shifts into drive it feels like if falls on its face and i would have thought that i would have pulled harder up top then down low....down low its great i have problems up top...but it feels fine when im sprayin it pulls all the way no bog??? anyone know what i can do to pic it up alil on the topend????
