Cant go wrong with a paxton. You can usually find used complete kits for about 2k.

thats about a grand. vortech's site isnt working how much is a supercharger that would work on a stock r/t

$500-$5000 Depending on what you get.

I picked up my paxton for under 2k a few years ago. They have dropped in price since then with new stuff comming out. I put on a vortech fuel system, and ran the shit out of it for 30k miles. I can tell you that the paxton has absolutley zero belt slip. Its uses a seperate 8rib pulley system. The head unit also flows a ton of air.

how much horsepower would that paxton add on my stock r/t?

On 8 pounds, and no other mods you would be looking at a 100hp gain give or take.

Since you're in his neck of the woods, you might want to check out Lloyds motor. It'll put you in the 11's, without any power adder at all and I believe he wants just a little more than a supercharger costs all by itself.

Here's his ad:

I am thinking of selling the motor in my truck. I have some business needs that need to be taken care of and this might be the best way to do it. I am seeing if there is any interest in my setup. It includes:

Eagle cast crank

Probe forged pistons (approx compression 11.2-1)

Eagle I beam forged rods

Stud girdle

clevite bearings

high flow oil pump

all internally balanced and profesionally built

Have over $5000 in the bottom end alone.

Also a set of r/t heads ported and built for me by Shady Dell

1.97 intake/ 1.62 exhaust

high lift springs setup (I am running about 625 lift right now)

Looking to get $5000 OBO outta the whole setup

will consider $3000 for the shortblock if you think you need better heads but this setup put down 405 at the wheels on the dyno.

Also will consider $1400 for the heads (I have about $2500 in these alone)

I will post more info or e-mail me at vacman626@yahoo for more info, I have flow #'s and the reciepts for most stuff.

Thanks

Lloyd

I think it'll be awhile before your killing any lightnings:jester:

That motor posted up above for $5 grand looks like a pretty sweet deal.. You should really consider that.

Sounds like your set on buying a supercharger.
That one posted up top sounds like a good deal on a stout motor.
I don't think I would just throw a supercharger on a stock RT.

but thats me. I like to do things in (not to be rude) the right way.

to start

Intake. TB, M1. Your spacer does nothing. dyno tested.

Exhaust, headers, High flow cat(s) Bad ass muff(s)

Then your up for anything else but to me you gata do that stuff first.

Read some of the past posts do a little research.

Buy an M1 now before they are gone.
