I used to like that place ... till the stupid res cops arrested my buddy for no good reason .... charged him with disturbing the peace... for saying this fucking sucks to his mom when they were getting back into his truck ..

the cop was a hot head, but so is my buddy so maybe he will learn his lesson .. prob not :jester:

The Pavillions is just west of the 101 at Indian Bend. On the north side of the road in the McDonalds/Home Depot parking lot. Saturday nights - early until 10:00 pm or so.

Thanks for finding that video! It's goo bad my time/speed got edited out, but it was a good run anyway. 10.83 @ 125 mph for that one.

the scottsdale pavillions are west side of the loop 101 at indian bend rd at ronney macs steakhouse (McDonalds), every saturday night usually from around 4 'til whenever people leave. :biggthumpup:

No chance of offending.... It's just a McDonalds parking lot. LOL

Just pay attention to the signs. The "McDonalds Car Show Police" gets all kind of pissy if you park a Dakota in the Corvette row. hahaha

exactly, i tend to stay away from that part of the lot until later in the evening when the majority of them leave, ill usually just find a spot somewhere towards the north of the lot (near YC's (I know i mention that everytime i post about the pavilions)) then ill move there when the parking nazis leave. :biggthumpup:

I will admit to purposely parking my truck in the middle of the Corvette row out of spite.... then simply walking away when I saw the parking nazi come around to try and get me to move. :stirringthepot: :finger:

I did tell all the Corvette guys that were there that if any of them could beat the truck in a 1/4 mile race that I would never park there again. They immediately wanted to know how many lengths I would spot them, and then of course a couple wanted to know what my top speed was. LOL I was just being ornery.:D

BAAH... no one really cares to be honest, im there to hang out with friends, eat some not so good for you mongolian bbq, and look at some other really nice cars. mines also stock with a bed that looks like a work trucks, so no worries. ill probably be out there around 7-8ish.

Ive only been out a couple times in the last year (since ive owned my truck) and both times others from here said they were there also.. but i cant ever seem to meet up with anyone. so ill try and keep a closer eye out this time.

and Duner.. Im afraid my truck doesnt have quite the testicular fortitude that yours does.. to allow me to just "park crash" the vette's :jester:

Where were you guys at? I walked around the corvette area and saw a white dakota and an older one but couldn't find anymore. I was bummed ha. Ill show up way earlier next week! I wanted to drool over your truck!

We all got there about 6:30 - 7:00 or so and stayed until about 11:00. We were on the row that leads directly to the Mongolian Beef.. on the North end.

Did you see that vw bug that had like a 5ft wheel base? That thing was cool! I've never seen one. I want to bring my 300zx next time I didn't see a single one there.

On a brighter note we got 3 dakotas out to the pavs yesterday. Myself, Duner and a guy from dakota-durango was there. pretty cool night! especially seeing the honda eg hatch getting pulled over for burning rubber lol

If we can get enough interest in a meet then i would be down to make the journey out to the phoenix area from san diego (or if you guys are over the heat, come out to SD!) and meet up with some other mopars and hit the night life in scottsdale. Keep me posted!

It would be worth the drive just to see that beast. Are you throwing the vortech on right away, or running NA first?

Did you get your tranny done by Martin or a local shop?

Vortech is on and found a local guy to build the trans.
Right now waiting on odd and ends parts.
The exhaust will probably keep me off the road for a bit till I can get that done,but hopefully I will be firing it up here shortly.
Dieing to get it back on its feet again.

Did you get the hood painted yet for yours?

I mounted the hood to check the fit, and the black started to grow on me. I think I will end up painting it eventually, but right now I kinda like it black. :biggthumpup:

I wish I had someone to recommend... But I haven't had stellar luck with my selections either.

yup, same here, trans has been out since January. SHOULD.. (should) have it back together this weekend and then back in later next week.
