Also who ever said it just needs alittle clearance needs to be punched in the head.Because here is what I had to do to get it to fit in the R/T.
Before clearance;

Looking good bro. Have you done a test fit with the alternator, cause you might have some clearance issues with those valve covers. That's some serious clearancing for the Moroso pan, damn. Nice job on the solid mounts, I'm gonna be running a set that Barry Hunter made.

Similar ones have been on Ebay. But I think even those need clearancing like Dave spoke of.

If I were to mount my alternator with the stock bracket, I would need to notch the corner of the valve cover to make room for the stud that's on the back of the alternator. Probably wouldn't take much, since the stud sits right next to the valve cover with it mocked up, so maybe a 1/4-1/2" of clearance. I'm looking at going a different route, since the ps bracket won't bolt up to my W5's, custom low mount brackets for both the alternator and ps pump.

nice looking motor! you plan on 300 shot again?

Yo Dave I have the alt situation dealt with I'll get up pics when done but look at an alt for a crown vic and see how the stud is mounted and thats what I've done.
I plan on the big shot again and I know why it didn't make/run the numbers it should have I hurt the head gasket on the dyno but the cometics and proper torque will fix that.
Also the valve covers are from jamesgangracing on ebay just search there name and give them an email.they need alot of clearance on the gasket sealing rail I'll post pics later for that too,got beer to drink laters.
Also you can't see to well in the pics but I boxed in the cross member and added support bracing to the underside so the cross member is plenty strong.My Dad dose this kinda shit for a living so the structural integrity is sound.

Right on, I might still go that route, at least while I'm waiting on the custom brackets. I did notice that you had boxed the crossmember, looks like a nice job. Looking forward to seeing you go deeper into the 10's, make sure you get it on video :biggthumpup:

I found a pic of a crown vic alternator and I see what you're talking about, so you just swapped that stud onto our alternator?

Yeah but it didn't work the clearance between the stud mount and valve cover are to tight.SO I prolly gonna raise the alt about 2" at the through bolt and she will clear.The things wee do to our vehicles,I even look to see if possible to reclock the alt but no dice.

No I welded on a filler neck from jegs and got positive locking oil breathers for my exhaust crankcase evac set-up.Just drill the valve covers for 1 1/4" holes and by grommets and push-in oil cap from auto parts store.

Here ya go, you can see how the stud comes up, instead of going straight back like ours.
