So I've been readin some of the threads ablout being able to find codes on my truck. So i decided to try it and found a code *P1281*. So now i'm curious of what it means, is there a website that i am able to go to to figure it out? Or does anyone know what it is?

160 is too cold for our trucks. get a 180* t-stat, reset the computer and never look back:goodluck:

T-stat = Thermostat

The code says too cold for to long, usually that comes from running a 160* t-stat

OK do you know what temp. T-stat are you running?
Also the one you have could be stuck open

Thermostat. Located behind the alternator, where the upper radiator hose runs into the intake. You'll have to drain the fluid, loosen the 2 bolts holding that housing down, pull it out, and then you'll see the thermostat. Pick up a 180 degree thermostat from your local parts store w/gasket, and reverse the directions.

I have no idea what t-stat i'm running. it's a 200 r\t and i don't think the stat has been changed before, would this effect my engine or trucks performance at all, i am running a few mods on it but nothing to effect my cooling system, just a ram air turbine and a cold air intake.

that definetley explains alot. my truck has had some issues lately that relate to that. when firing it up. and sometimes won't start because it was so flooded. i thought it was a sticky injector.
