I've been trying to pay the membership fees through paypal and it keeps giving me the message "This recipient is currently unable to receive money."
I've also tried e-mail the club through the "contact us" link and it comes back as an invalid address. Please let me know how to take care of this. Thanks.
Rick

I don't know what the problem was with the DRTC account, but trust me, I know how big of a pain in the ass PayPal is!

I'm managing an account for a memorial we're trying to build in honor of all Air Advisors who were killed in action, catalyzed by the attack that took 9 of our best on 27 April 2011.

Anyway, since it's not MY account, I set it up in the name of the fund, and used the email address that I created when I built our website, and since then, Paypal has done nothing but prove to be impossible to work with. they demand a real name be on the account, then change it to a business account, they demand paperwork, bank statemtns, proof of addresses, credit cards, utility bills....

It's apparently next to impossible for these people to understand that this is a non-profit charity, that we don't HAVE a credit card, that we don't HAVE utility bills, and every time I call, I get "I don't know sir" "I can't really say for sure" "you'd have to call back in a week" "I'm not allowed to tell you that, its proprietary"

PayPal is really pissing me off and the idiots on the phones can't answer a gawddamed question! last phone call I had to "ask for a manager" 5 levels up. (or so they say anyway, for all I know they just pawn me off to the next guy over who answers the phone and says "yes, I'm the next higher manager" )

For those of you who only use PayPal for a personal account, yes, it's a real pain in the ass when it becomes a non-personal "business" account!

We had the same run-around as you... Glad it's over

Yeah Tom... The DRTC feels your pain.

As Kevin mentioned, we just settled our issue with PP.
Because we are a non-profit organization, PP wants all kinds of proof of this and that. We were missing one important document, so PP locked up "OUR" money for months.

PP can be quite a PITA to work with.

BTW: Thanks to you and Rick Shields for becoming paid club members !
