New Head unit install

So installed my Kenwood KDC-MP538U with iPod input tonight. Get it all back together and the radio works but the cd player function and iPod function dont. It says that they are playing music but nothing is coming out of the speakers. Would this have something to do with the stock amp? I bought the truck used so who knows what the wiring looks like.

The only thing I can think of wiring-wise that would cause/fix that is to make sure you didn't hook the 'power antenna' wire of the kenwood harness to the 'amp remote turn-on' wire of the adapter/stock harness; make sure the 'amp remote turn-on' wire on the kenwood harness is the one going to the same on the adapter/stock harness.

I had the same problem... I believe this is what I did to fix it (98% sure) but I just had to call crutchfield and they had my problem fixed in less than 5 minutes. Very Impressed with their prices and customer service :biggthumpup:
