i had an 8" L7 kicker sub in my truck with custom box but it was just too much leg room sacrificed and i dont know where to find a sub and or box that will fit in my Reg Cab that is small enough to keep room and still sound well
so i got an alpine deck, xplod front speakers, and 6x9 kenwoods in the back..system sounds pretty good but its really missing bass so my question is what door speakers could i look for to add some bass to my stereo. or maybe just run a small amp to my speakers?

Do a shallow 8 sidefiring in a center console, you won't loose any legroom.

My best friend has an older model Chevy truck. He turned 40 a couple of months ago and is dealing with the mid life issue. I am 6 years older than him and have my truck sounding damn sweet with all my speakers and 2 10" subs. His truck is a regular cab so there really isn't much room back there. I jokingly said "Just cut to holes out under the seat and put in an enclosure and mount em there" Looked out my kitchen window one morning and the 2 bucket seat were in his driveway along with the carpet. Heard bump and grind but didn't bother him. Later that night he had 2 12" subs mounted in the bottom of the truck. Wired and all. I didn't ask but I think he found some fiberglass things or something. He put the carpet ,holes cut out, and seats and fired it up. Sounded great and it shook the hole truck. Little odd riding in it though. Kinda pounds away at your ass sitting there. Just a story about a guy that dealt with his issue, like yours, in an extreme way.

jl audio makes a 13" that is only 2.5 inches deep. kinda pricey but its a jl so its one of the best brands out there
Well, the fact that you have Sony Xplode speakers in the front door is your first problem. Sony's Xplode series is garbage. I have seen where some guys have put shallow subs in the doors themselves. The center console is another good option. Could go all out and put the sub in the bed and port it into the cab through a hole.

Infinity kappa door speakers with amp have a good amount of bass. Sound is really clear and sounds like little subs are in there.
