Keep the JET chip, it helps more than you think. As for deleting the cat, if it's the factory cat, just replace it with a 3" in/out Magnaflow cat and call it good. On the '00's, both the pre and post cat O2s are used for adjusting the A/F ratio. Bill Haleen did some dyno testing and actually gained power with a cat install and both O2 in the exhaust vs. no cat.

thanks....i've run with the jet2 and without and haven't noticed anything except my wallet at the pump....not that i'm not gonna have to keep on puttin premium but i would rather put the premium with something that was more noticable than the jet

Then don't run premium. You can get by with 87 on the stock PCm, even with the jet chip. Shit, I ran 89 with my Mopar PCM with the JET2 on it.

Well I can't say I saw any improvement with the jet chip but I only rode in a cc 03 r/t with it and it didn't feel any different. If it did anything I don't know but I just didn't feel it. I just realized we're in the same boat man I've got an 00 white cc r/t and I'm in walker. I've had my truck since 06 and haven't done anything to it till now. So far I've got a superchips tuner( definitely noticeable), intake, pacesetter headers, and I have a transgo shift kit that will be installed sometime in the next month and I'm gonna be running no cat at least for now I'll have the headers back to a magna flow 2 1/2 inch xpipe and then from there they'll dump out behind the passenger side door so I'll let you know how much difference it makes with no cat. I also just went to a set of 275/40R17 tires and love them.

they sell a kit for the oxygen sensors so you can delete the kats without having codes thrown

Yeah this time I went for price as oppose to what I really wanted. I got the maxxis mav1 tires and I'm pretty happy with them so far. With my last tires a set of grabber uhps from general ( good tires just not for what I wanted to do) 255/60R17 I could only get about 114 top side and it took like 3 miles to hit that I was pissed. With the new tires I hit 125 in a half mile last night so I'm pretty excited about that. Mainly since I still have the stock 1 1/2 inch y pipe lol. I get a lot of my parts from a guy named Woody Brown. He owns APS Automotive Performance Specialties in Watson....no building yet but he'll have one soon. I think I'm going for the supercharger after talking with him for awhile, but I got alot in mind before that.

The 99-00 I know for sure you can get by with just zip-tying the last 02 sensor to the frame rail. Leave it plugged in to the harness, zip-tie it to the frame, and plug the hole in the exhaust. The 98s are probably the same, but I think the 01+ need the 02 Sim boxes.
