I believe a 96 is still the non intercooled 7.3, awesome motors but still gutless.

My dad's got a 96 F250 with the 460. It's a friggin tank. The motor's got some balls, but it has to haul that gigantic beast around.

man to even question that your truck would lose to a older model 3/4ton powerstroke is ridiculous lol...ive been around those my whole life being a construction worker. hell when i owned my old CC 4.7 dakota i beat a newer F250 diesel that had a chip and i think exhaust..it wasnt by much and his chip mite not have been all the way up but i dont care i still got him haha

I just did first step paint correction on my neighbors f-350 diesel dually, the 6.3 turbo 4 door gigantic short bed flavor, and while it makes all the right noises and really could pull over your house, it's slower than my freaking V6 Van.

So that's another 1000 lbs over the f-250, but still - a little slow truck like my R/T is head and shoulders quicker than them puppies.

And I wouldn't even need all the gears or even WOT to humiliate it with my Magnum.
