Hey all,
This post is for my brother in law. We swapped in a magnum 318 into his 97 yj and it is now having some running issues. It can fine for a couple of days but now it is fouling plugs left and right and will not rev past 2 grand without major hesitation and stalling and it gets worse the longer it runs. It has an erratic idol which is on a 20 minute surge from 800 rpm to 1200 rpm. It will get a little better if you unplug the battery and reset the pcm but gets back to undriveable quick. I have helped him test of the voltages on the tps, map, iac, cps, and we traced out the harness he is using a 97 318 5 speed dakota harness with pcm. I am going to take the hall effect out of my 96 project tommarow and see if his hall if messed up. It sound a like the firing order is messed up but timing is fine. Danno ? or somebody hopefully might be able to point me in the right direction. Its throwing high input voltage codes on the tps, iac, and both o2's.
