Well yesterday I picked my block up from the machine shop now I have the task of filing the rings to get them perfect. I'm goin .020 on the top and .022 on the second which is what wiseco recommends for street use with moderate nitrous. I'm planning to get this beast together within a week or 2.

Well i have all the rings filed and the pistons attached to the rods. I also got the crank dropped in and it speced out nicely. So I got it all lubed up and torqued in for good I also check my rod bearing clearance on my #1 rod and it was good. All i can say is man that shit looks sweet and the zero deck on the motor is just freakin crazy. I'll post some pics up Monday as i am going to be out of town sat and sun. I should be able to get the rest of the short block put together monday along with the cam degreed in.

I just wanted to put my 2 cents. You should to check KB Pistons website - www.kb-silvolite.com - under "Special Clearance Requirements for KB Pistons". Just scroll down the web site until you see the ring gap application guide. From my experience, .020 seems to be too small a gap for nitrous. Hope this helps.

I'm running wiseco pistons and thier set of rings and that is what they recommend for my application so I'm going to trust them.
