Has anyone passed wires through the passenger side of the truck for a wideband, etc., instead of having to go from the passenger side all the way over to the drivers side for that big grommet behind the brake booster, and then back over to the passenger side inside the cab again? I know some guys have the MSD inside the glove box or like Pete did with the PCM in there. So how'd you do it?

drill a hole and install a small grommet. I've done it a few times.

Cool deal. That's what I was thinking, I just wasn't sure if there was a better/easier way of doing it.

find existing holes or drill your own. there's the antenna hole or the hole for the door wires (speaker, windows, mirrors, locks, etc) hole, both inside the door jamb. you can reach those from inside the fender to the door jamb

or a hole from the heater/AC core and fish it through from around the box inside.

If you do drill a hole, be absolutely sure that you know what's on the other side. sure would suck to drill in and punch a hole into your A/C evaporator or Heater core, and have to pull the dash out to replace the whole thing.

There is a large hole with grommet on the passenger side. Behind the 99 style washer bottle. You can get to it if you peel the carpet back at the top of the foot well.

I'm not sure if this is the same I used, but I routed my 02 sensor for my LM-2 on the passenger side. If you lift up the passenger carpet towards the top you'll find a large gromet there. Perfect spot to route it.
I can take pics if needed.

Yes, put them in the 'post a pic of your ride as it sits' thread! Haha.

Use the grommet at the front of the door jam, and then right into the RF fender

That's what I meant, yeah. I pass 32 20ga wires and a nylon vacuum hose through there no problems.

I felt a grommet about the size of a quarter maybe? It was a few inches above the top of the carpet though, I couldn't see it. Is this the same one you're referring to? Nothing was passing through it, it was just there.

That's the one! I pulled the grommet out and ran wires through the grommet...than pushed it back in with wires.

for a long long time i re-used factory holes and never did anything that didn't preserve the factory integrity of my truck. now i see the straightest way between two points and grab the sawzall.

I plugged everything in my fire wall, all my wires run into the wiper cowl, and drop into the dash that way...I even plugged the giant holes under the cowel too...

Did I mention how hot my truck gets.....?

I melted the bottom of my helmet putting it on the floor board on the passenger side....Guess all that carpet and sound deadening shit is there for a reason....LOL

same with the gen II. Last time I was at Cecil it was below freezing and I was nice and comfy with just a pair of jeans and a hoody.
