Alright, I need a bit of help from the electrical guru's here. I bought a TPS switch for my nitrous system from Dynotune because it's almost half the cost of what NX wants for the same damn thing. Dynotune provides two wiring diagrams and I'm unsure which one is correct. Anyone know which diagram will work with the attached NX wiring diagram? The first diagram looks correct to me but I don't want to attempt it and fry my solenoids unless I know for sure.

Technically either way would work, but I'd wire it up like diagram #1.

It may be obvious, but for our trucks, having the ignition on is enough to operate the tps and therefor program that switch. Dynotune's instructions say to have the motor on and got WOT on a dyno or racetrack. You should be able to just cycle the pedal with the key on to program it.

Alright, I've got everything wired up like in the first diagram and the solenoids will click once, then blow the fuse I have setup between the relay and the positive terminal on the battery. I've fried two fuses already. I'm using a 10 amp fuse.

Where do you have it grounded?

A 10amp fuse sounds a little small for the noids. I think the relays are 40amps.

This is a old/bad picture but hopefully it will give you an idea of where it's mounted. Both the TPS switch and relay are grounded there.

I'm not sure. I thought I read somewhere to use a 10 amp fuse. I could be wrong. :jester:

Might not be a good ground for it, I can't friggin remember where I grounded mine. The fuse might be too small as well, again, I can't remember what I used.

The only fuse you used was on the bottle heater. it was a 20 amp

What about the one into the fuse panel? IIRC it was in the backup lights.

o yeah i remember now. the wire was attached to the top of the fuse. that wire broke loose so i wrapped it around the fuse and shoved it in there. I'll have to look and see what i pigged backed off of. I think it was the lighter fuse. I have had zero problems like that. the wires stay cool and the fuse never blows.

So I take it I should try and re-locate the grounding wires somewhere else. :noob:

I'm uneasy about going to a bigger fuse without knowing for sure. To much amperage could end up frying components.

Ok, I'm a dumb ass. I read through the instructions again. The connection between the battery and the relay is supposed to have a 40 amp fuse. DOH! The 10 amp fuse if for the activation switch, which I do have correct. :rtfm::ownd:

I have been known to turn a few wrenches. These trucks are pretty easy to work on they are close to older carb motors minus all the fuel injection stuff but thats pretty much plug and play being that the connectors only plug into one spot.
