i was just thinkin (can you see the smoke pouring from my ears) higher line pressure can be had with a tighter TV cable? this will give firmer/quicker shifts?

what are the drawbacks of not having a TV cable at all? besides the obvious, i manually shift it.

What will control the line pressure if there's no TV cable?

i don't know. i would assume it runs at one pressure w/o change.

Well, is the only function of line pressure to automatically shift gears?

i guess that's partly what i'm asking as well.

i was just watchin some of my incar vids from last year. i always had this high rpm flutter right at shifting and i noticed it happen right after i shifted but before the trans shifted on the 1-2 shift. so if i put the TV cable nice and tight will it shift crisper/firmer? meaning be more resposive to when "I" shift it?

it will shift firmer, but if you go to tight, it will shift to short. it has to be cerrectly adjusted, or you could mess up your tranny. if you want shorter, firmer shifts, get a shift kit.

do you have the megashifter, hammer shifter, or a hurst? I'm debating on going that route now that my truck doesnt want to shift 2-3 at wot. Good excuse I guess -lol

What do the reverse lock out and neutral safety switch do? I'm guessing they keep you from shifting there when racing and hard shifting?
Where is your OD button? Still on the column shifter or did you remove that?
