welp i went from 8 gauge wire nd 12 inch pioneer sub with 200 watt amp in my old dakota sport, than upgraded to 4 gauge wire and 2 12 inch ma audio comp subs with 1200 watt amp(was in my r/t).....
and now i have decided to go all out..so therefor my interior is all ripped out the fatmat rattle trap 80mil sound detener is up the side walls, back of ex cab, entire roof, pillars, floor will be done today..and than i need to build another box.
Overall my new system will be 0 gauge wire 8,000 watts! and an overall 54INCHES of subwoofer!!!:woot::woot:
...pictures of the project will be up soon hopefully:biggthumpup:

not what i meant. are you just wanting it to be loud? is it goin to be just for show? or for competitions?
i could pull up in your driveway and shake shit off your walls and shelfs, last time i metered i hit 148.8 with a SEALED box, now its ported at 40hz with specs direct from my sub maker and fiberglassed inside. im only running 2-12s with 1200w amp in a 4.4-4.5 cu box

Mines also to spec and 40hz ported but my 3 10's im planning to keep sealed..im gonna use it for competition, have look show quality, and loud as can possibly be.
By the way how much did fiberglassing ur box run you, i was looking to get the outsides done but still have a mdf base, also how much time it take and cost of supplies if you did it yourself?
Im really not trying to rebuild my 12 box cuz i got 250 in it alone nd its no fiberglass involved

it was actually pretty easy, add a coat and let dry for an hr then add another coat which i repeated the process 4-5 times before letting it cure for a couple days. i prob had $15-20 in it. i build my own boxes so it doesnt cost much more then the price of a 3/4" mdf, 3/4-1" dry wall screws and 2 tubes of liquid nail caulking, for fiberglass just add the cost of 1 gal of resin, matting and 2" paint brushes which glassin will just make the box stronger and wont allow the box to flex and absorb.
there are plenty of sources online to help build a box, the most need info ya need is the details of the sub/subs as drivers size, magnet, coil etc.
heres my setup

Homedepot, lowes, autozone paint supply stores etc... Regular fiberglass or polyester resin works just fine. No need for expensive stuff. The last box I did was for a friend. Cost about $200 in fiberglass materials. That included resin, body filler and scratch puddy.
