ARE YOU SERIOUS?

anybody that knows anything about dealing with EFI, Boost and BIG HP knows what options to look for whether it be FAST, ACCel or BS3.

There is a lot more to it than saying I want FAST-XFI or BS3.

And NO Fast EZ isn't good for Boost or anything much above 500hp.

I meant to edit that post but I didn't. Now that you've got me cornered I'll go ahead and elaborate a little bit. For a boosted application it makes complete sense. For n/a trucks I don't know that there's a whole lot to gain as long as your driveability is sufficient with SCT and/or PCM flashes.

As far as an in depth explanation for you to have a better understanding, I'll maybe touch on that toward the end of September.

I look forward to it.. It's getting old not having anyone local

The only reason somebody needs a standalone on these trucks if if they are boosted, particularly if the way in which the boost is delivered is violent or unpridictable. It seems the JTEC can't deal with this, and retain closed loop operation for cruising on the street. Standalones can go open loop under whichever conditions you want, so this is not an issue.

Either that, or if one is shooting for nearly 1k HP or more.

For an NA or nitrous truck- SCT all the way, just get a real dyno tune, email tunes are a joke.

Of course, a standlone offers real time tuning instead of flash based, which means you can tune the fueling on the street.

Take off of this with a grain of salt- I just figured out the spark side of things on the megasquirt and I am hacving hot start problems I haven't figured out yet.

Yes (MS3)
Developmental (MS2, not sure for MS3)
There are 8 channels, you can pretty much use them however you please; a multiple of 8 or less paired, batches, secondary, sequential. (MS3, other have some of these modes)

Sounds neat, I don't know how intelligent it is without a vehichle speed reference. Should definitely help get it dailed in off the line if you can't get the suspension to hold and need to back the power down.

i have the speedo huked up to the fast two, u can use the one that come with the dakota u jest have to go thur Sensor Calibration to get it working rite

The dakota speedometer uses the a combination of differential and output shaft speed. The speedometer will read higher than your actual speed if you are spinning.

The ticket is a from wheel speed, or an accelerometer integrated speed. I'm curious how it implements the optional accleratometer. It has the potential to be a LOT better that way.
