Two new bests tonight...

Best 60' (1st pass) : 1.669 (ran 12.169@110.20)
Best E/T (2nd pass) : 12.093@110.21

I probably would have had an 11.9x pass but I didn't notice the air pressure on the drag tires had dropped lower than I prefer on the 2nd pass until I was just a couple of cars away from launching, too late to do anything about it. I only got a 1.776 on that pass and had a little bit of shimmy on the top end.

The track was moving really slow tonight, lots of people, lots of breakdowns - only got 3 passes. By the time I made my 3rd pass the bottle pressure had dropped to 800#.

I don't know what the DA was tonight, but I'd imagine it was up there like normal - it's supposed to be 104 tomorrow.

I've had that happen before, especially when racing at night and the temps drop, forget to check the slicks and then find out that the pressure dropped 3psi. That 11 is right around the corner, you'll get it :biggthumpup:

I have one, but don't have it wired up yet because I know I can't use it right now. The truck came with underdrive pulleys, I already have issues keeping the voltage up at the track when it's busy because of all the short stop/starts as we advance through the staging lanes. I have a spare Optima battery, I might try to rig something up so I can use it to heat the bottle between runs at the conventional TnT events when it's a helluvalot safer to leave stuff in the pits. There's no way I'd want to leave anything out in the pits on the Friday night Midnight Mayhems - way too many spectators/thieves on those nights.

Was this for me, or someone else in the thread? I already have a set of Real Pro 6's in the back - someday will try to scrape up the cash to get a matching set of Real Pro 6 skinnies up front. In the meantime I'm only interested in some cheap OEM 15x6's.

torch that bottle and get you a blanket or a jacket to throw over it to keep the heat in the bottle while your in the lanes and right before you run pull it off.

I'll try to insulate it better next time - just leaving it in the truck in the garage for a few hours had it at 1200# for the first pass, but it dropped fast - 1000# on the 2nd pass, 800# on the 3rd pass.
