I've heard 36-38*. You'd have to hook up a DRB or other scanner and read it real time to find out for sure.

Posted over on Delphi by Steven Zeal. My truck was the mule, and IIRC I still was using the California Emissions PCM which has a bit less timing...but don't quote me, it was a while ago...

>>Mopar PCM maxes out at 27 degrees by 2,200-2,400 rpm at WOT. Under decel it saw about 42 degrees. cruise is 36-40 depending on conditions. This was monitored with the snap on mt2500 and justins truck with the 2000 mopar pcm. My truck with the flash that Tom did for me is running 29.5 degrees advance and it pings like a bitch. I need to add the MSD and the timing control to pull 2 degrees. I didnt believe tom when he said that 28 was on the edge of knocking. I should have trusted him.------- Steven 01 RC R/T<<

I might see if Steven will make a trip up here in the near future or I might roll down there...hook up this Federal PCM I'm running and see what it runs.

With the CPS advanced 3 degrees on my Ram MP PCM, I get 30* in by 3000/ WOT, 38* on cruise and 40* on decel(MT 2500) with zero ping on 87 octane. You can pull 2* easy with the CPS. Just slot the holes so it will move towards the dizzy.

Wow, I thought it was more than that at WOT.

Maybe it should be more. NO ONE will stick their neck out at MP and say what it should be. I would have thought I could induce pinging on 87 with the MP PCM and the CPS advanced!!!

Thanks all. I have my CPS slotted too, so curious how it will run with a MP PCM.

If it's an easily noticeable improvement in a big heavy Ram A Dak should really shine.

With my B&G M1 flash, and a snap-on MT2500, we were seeing 34-36* total timing by 3200. Crusing was a bounce-fest from 28-42.
