R/T Registry Now Online!!!! [Archive]

I just finished up version 1 of the online registry for a school project. It would be awesome of people would sign up so I have some people in there for my show and tell at the end of the year.

Please note that I capped the sign up at 20 accounts so it doesn't get flooded. It is not hosted on a server I manage.

Thank you to everyone who helped decipher the VINs and a special thanks to 5.9 R/T for all his hard work with the VINs as well.

i got it to work. it didn't like my uwntsumrtII email so i used uwntsumrt insted.

mine worked with the hole VIN. i tried leaving the last 6 digets out and it was invalid.

Yeah you need the WHOLE thing to verify it but for me to check it manually i only needed the first 11. Thats all i ment.

You put your mods in the wrong spot lol.

You can add your mods if you go to "My Vehicles" and add it there.

The "Details" under account will prob be for AIM info or anything you wanna say about yourself.

Thanks, that worked! I created an account, but now the info and picture that I put in with my account aren't showing up, it says no information has been sent for this vehicle.

Oh, and I thought of something else that would be cool to have on the Registry. Not sure how you would do it tho. But have it say that your vehicle is 1 of XXX, using the productions numbers. Like under a person's entry it could say:

This truck is 1 of 113 2002 Flame Red Regular Cabs

Or something like that. And 113 is made up, I have no idea how many 2002 FR RC's there are. Anyway, just an idea. :)

Nope, I'm putting it under my vehicle, I go into my vehicles, click Edit next to my entry, fill out the details and mods and add a picture, click modify, it tells me it was modified, but then nothing shows up :(
Hmmm, there might be an error happening but the settings on the server might be supressing them and I can't control that. Are you uploading a .gif or .jpg photo? Try without doing the photo first?

Oh, and I thought of something else that would be cool to have on the Registry. Not sure how you would do it tho. But have it say that your vehicle is 1 of XXX, using the productions numbers. Like under a person's entry it could say:

That's a good idea. I will see what I can do short term for something like that if I can get production numbers.

I only put 20 on cause its a shared server with 50 other applications running in the same space and I didn't want performance issues. I definitely want to load it once once I get it moved off the school server to my own hosting account.

I finally gave up. Kept saying my VIN was invalid.

I just signed up. I kept getting the "Invalid Email" thing like everyone else, but all I did was NOT put a capital in my email address and it worked.:biggthumpup:

This was a pretty great idea. I'm sure everyone will be blown away by the list you've accumulated by the end of the year. Hopefully we'll get EVERYONE on that site.:woot:

Thought I fixed that. Glad you got it to work though. Thanks for signing up and yeah I hope I get TONS more people on here so it will become THE place to register.

Future goals will be to integrate with the forums that are online.

Success! Finally. It kept saying my VIN was incorrect, I just changed the Zip Code from 9 digit to 5 digit-left everything else the same & all was well! Go figure!

Bought it that way....The guy heated up the coils to lower it.(2" Front) 2" block in back...It's going to be changed thou.

I signed up, finally got the same password to finally work but now I have no clue as to what my username is. It does not ask you???? I have looked closely at the form and cannot seem to find where it asks you to create a user name???
