I started mocking up one of the H1Es last weekend, trying to get a rough Idea of where the plumbing will fit -I swear these things get bigger once you try and fit them in the truck!

I've got an idea for the crossover/y-pipe (going with a single for now) with a brace off the idler bracket/coil mount bosses, and the cold side is CAKE.

The place I'm worried about is the downpipe. It's supposed to be a 3". It looks to me like the only way to go is to drop it down above the center of the passenger upper A-Arm, cutting out the inner fender, and then a 90* back squeezing between the drier and the frame, and a 45* or so to the stock catback location. And wrapping everything with fiberglass tape, along with an 0.032" aluminum heatshield around the valvecover, A/C lines, and drier.

I'm just worried about frying the control arm bushings/overheating the drier.

How did you run yours? Do you happen to have any pics?

I'll try and find the pics I took of it all, but in the mean time....
My downpipe exits the turbo then angles down to go between the AC drier canister and the upper A-arm. It then just follows the angle of the firewall and then makes the turn to go parallel with the ground, above the crossmember and beside the transmission. I didn't have to cut my inner fenderwell insert, but the downpipe does go directly against the heatshield part on the inside. I removed the inner fenderwell to make it easier to see what was going on when I was fabricating and mocking everything up the first time.

I do have the downpipe wrapped, but between the turbo manifold itself, the turbo and the downpipe - the bushing are definately taking some heat. I don't think the dryer is getting much more heat than it had with just headers or even the stock manifold on there. There is also some room for the dryer to move. I moved mine as high as I could without damaging the lines.
I NEED my AC!
