Well i'm trying to decide on what color to paint my engine block. I'm thinking I might paint it hemi orange to match my powder coated valve cover and leave the m1 and acc. brackets plain aluminum. along with the aluminum heads. Or should i paint the acc. brackets. I don't have the extra money to powder coat right now but maybe sometime in the future. I could go with a black colored block but i think it will kind of take away from the valve covers. Can someone suggest some options.

Just do black. Anything else looks cheezy IMO.

Black, and use the Duplicolor Ceraminc Caliper Paint on it. Looks great and is heat resistant to a much higher temp than regular engine paint is. I use it any place that temps are going to be 200* or over now.
