Planning my time at the meet

I just accepted an offer with a new company and I need to tell them what days I'll be needing off for the meet. I'm thinking I'll probably arrive on the 12th and stay for the Woodward Cruise on the 16th. Will something be going on the 17th or can I leave without missing anything and still be able to work on that Monday?

What's everyone else doing in terms of arrival and departure dates?

I'm traveling up on the 12th, so I can do the Viper plant tour on Tuesday and then get setup for registration. Then I'll be leaving on the 17th. Can't wait!!!

Good question, I'm not sure, I'll ask Rob. I believe it's just the normal plant tour, nothing that's just for us, so maybe it's something they do throughout the day.

I'm leaving the 16th. While the Woodward dream cruise would probably be cool to stay for, I can't justify another night in the hotel and food/gas for it. Plus, I'm leaving my kids with my parents and don't want to make them have to watch them any more than needed. Will be arriving on the 12th though. Not sure if I will make it in time for the tour though.

Sounds good, thanks Dave. Do you know how long the tour is? Maybe an afternoon slot would be good, for folks that are driving in that day.

You really won't be missing out on a lot ; Woodward will be "happening" all week long. They actually have "officially" made it an 8 day event ( it already was! ) with more scheduled car shows and special events type stuff. Friday all the big displays will be set up, so you will be able to at least see them before you leave. Sunday, everything is taken down and there is still a lot of people & rides to be seen!
