View Full Version : Thank's for the parts guys, ss cowl, deleted wipers, HIDs installed...
Got some more work done on the truck, just got to take it down to Toxic Motorsports for the paint work, and get the tranny rebuilt and I'm golden.
Looks like I need to adjust the left side bumper up a tad to fill the gap, but I can do that after It's painted.

Looks like it needs a current license and inspection as well.

Someone needs to make a wiper delete cowl...Is the SS cowl fiberglass?

Lmao. Yeah your right. I'm going to get custom plates this year when its done, and got to find a place to do my inspection. The tint and no wipers is illegal, hopefully I can find a place that will "overlook" those issues.

Yeah it's fiberglass. Really thin also, almost cracked the bitch in half taking it out of the box.

So an industrious person could cut out the places for the wipers, and glass the thing smooth...Hello winter mod #33
How much was that bitch?

There is a shop in my neck of the woods that never said a word about my wife's tint on her old civic. Every other shop wouldn't even touch the car for inspections.
I doubt they would ignore the wipers though...lol

Something like that would you just put a couple layers resined on the back side covering the holes? Smooth out with some glaze putty, let cure for a few days then prime/paint.

I'd get rid of the divots for the wipers, not just the holes.

I'd get rid of the divots for the wipers, not just the holes.Yeah, that would be much better/ a smooth flat look. So that would be laying it on the front side...
I could carry a bottle of Rain X and a squeegee for emergencys everywhere.

If your windows are electric just take out your window motor fuse.

We don't have any inspections...Emission, safety...Nothing.
But they will pull you over for no tags...I forgot to put mine on after a trip to the strip when I was still driving it on the street...Cop had no sense of humor and thought my cut off switch was the dumbest thing he'd ever seen.
I agreed, he let me go.
The tine on the windsheild goes past that stupid line, thats what they got me for last time.

Yeah that's what I'm talking about. They can't roll down the windows to check the tent, that's what I did when I got my inspection sticker.
Will be getting my truck back in Jan. sometime. Still got to get it inspected. If I'm not driving it as a DD and only race/show does it still have to have the standard state inspection or do they have another option for race/show trucks?
