I realized that I don't have any good recent pics of my truck. Since it is a GORGEOUS day out, I decided to take some pics. Especially after spending 4.5hrs yesterday washing and waxing in the nasty heat and humidity!

That 2nd photoshop one is cool. Kinda like a skeleton look almost. That red looks so nice all cleaned up, brings back memories! ~sniff~

If I had better PhotoChop skills, then I think it would be cool to have the second one on the truck only and not let it hit the ground.
I saw your truck this weekend, looks naked w/o the tonneau cover.

Nice

Thanks! What idea is that?:D

LOL...The front only picture looks like it wants to smile at you! Anyone want to photochop that into a "Cars" looking character?

Thanks! Red has been the color of choice for the past couple of trucks...lol It must fit me well, I guess.

Man R/T's always clean up really nice with some elbow grease. I spent 6 hrs yesterday on my IB cc, and now its got that mirror finish look. Good job man! Also nice bike, that thing has some nice lines. Dan

I love when it is freshly cleaned and waxed but damn does it take a long time! lol

I was getting PO'd about the way the paint was looking, so I figured I would give the clay bar a shot.I used a clay bar on it a couple of a weeks ago and that really made the paint look good! It took off the layer of grime on it and made the paint stand out again!:rockwoot:

I didn't have chance to wax it until this past saturday. I would like to get a cleaner wax on it to help remove the swirls from the finish and then finish it with a normal wax.

That truck is DEAD to me! :jester:

Also, on your swirls. You can change that by how you wash/dry/wax your truck. Don't do any of it in circles, use straight line motions. Ex: Front to back on all top panels, and up and down on side panels. It really works, give it a shot.

I know what you mean. It was a nice truck though!:nana:

I have never tried waxing in any direction but in circles. I will have to try that next time that I wax it.

What really sux is that I took it out tonite to run some errands and of course I have to go past a few sprinklers! Then we are supposed to have rain until Thursday...

Yeah, what causes swirls is the abbrasiveness of the polish/applicator/towels you use. I don't know what you use, but I've always used Zaino. You don't have to use it, but their tips on polishing are very good. http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=QUICKTIPS&Store_Code=Z

Thanks, I will look into it.

I have been using Meguiars for a long time now. I use nothing but 100% cotton towels to wash and wax it.

They just reformulated the NXT wax too, it's even better now. I did the strip/ clay bar/cleaner wax/ polish/ NXT 2.0 4-step process 2 weeks ago, and then just hit the truck with a 2nd coat of NXT this past weekend. It doesn't shine in the bright sun anymore, it practically glows. The paint almost looks like it has a bit of pearl in it now. I really like their stuff

Yeah, they've definitely come a long way from Gold Class! Which was good too. I used it on everything that wasn't the R/T. :jester:
