not lookin to go crazy just want a quick street truck, i already turn plenty of heads in this lil town with the exhaust and the look of the truck..

But to the original posters question,it should pep it up nicely.These things are heavy to start with so add some gears (4:56's ) to the mix and will be a fun good running truck.

Believe me...it'll cost lots of $$$$ to be, more or less, on the slow end of the spectrum.

A lot of guys on here have been around a long time, and put a lot of money/blood/sweat/tears into these things. They are serious when they say if you want to build one, you really need to be that special kind of crazy and really like the truck, because when you are done or nearly done, it wont be nearly as fast as desirable as what you could have built on another platform.

Seeing I am employed again I am strongly considering buying back my 69 notchback Barracuda. Only down side, is I would have to spend a few grand in body work before I could throw a drive train in it. Then I would feel bad taking the Dakota's engine/ rear and putting it in the car. Cause the R/T would have to go to the crusher and that would suck.

Yeah, that would suck. I think I would want to keep the truck as is and store the a body until I could get it rolling.
