Many thanks to David Salazar for the deal on these autox slicks and uber light wheels. He beat me to them on ebay but I don't think I paid much extra for them, if anything he took a loss. I almost felt bad taking advantage of an Iraq vet. Thanks again man! The wheels are only 17's but that keeps the weight and the tire prices down. 17x13's out back and 17x11's up front. Made of magnesium and with a tire only weigh about 50lbs. Rears are 335's and fronts are 295's.

Without the 1/2" spacer from the front they are way too close to the leafs.

13 1/4" of fingernail penetrating stickiness. That sounded...?

They dwarf my street tires which are 285's off an M5. Please excuse the filthy truck, I'll empty the dog food, fan and 350Z wheels out of the bed and wash her asap. :worky:

I can't find the rims anywhere online, they must be custom made or something. I'd like to know how much they weigh without the tire b/c the rubber alone is heavy. About hurt my back stacking the R/T rims up, obvious difference. Thanks all, I can't wait to see how the cornering improves. Time to whup that Cobra's ass! This is my favorite pic for obvious reasons.

Thank you, thank you. Every once in a while luck rears its head. These have to drop my lap times, the $:speed ratio insists!

It might be an older version of those, but most likely those new ones are aluminum. I'm curious to what they cost but I doubt they were cheap!

how do you like the viper brake conversion? what size rotors are you running? im trying to decided between the south east performance wilwood set up, or a viperconversion kit from sidewinder customs

They work well but you have to have a prop valve to limit the pressure going out back since the factory drum setup requires a lot of pressure. Right now the rears lock up too soon, then the ABS comes on and kills the line pressure. They are 13" two piece Stoptech rotors. A lot lighter than the 1 piece Powerslots etc. Darren has some good kits going but these were done by a Hotchkis engineer.

I can do 13" rear rotors and 13" or even better 13.5" front rotors with my conversion kit. The Wilwood kit uses 12" rotors.
The 13.5" rotors in the front I use are Baer Eradipseed rotors and actually work even better with my kit than the 13" rotors do. Since I'm a Baer distributor, they will custom make these 13.5" rotors for me. I run them, Clint Hunter runs them and very soon so will Barry Young.:rockwoot:
