The cervinis & east coast are almost the same cowl design. The cervinis is lower porfiled than the east coast.

I have an east coast hood for sale. Fit is excellent on it. Lighter than the stock steel hood too.
Converted to full functional ram air for 3.9/5.2/5.9 or larger engine.
Comes with everything you need to install it.

the only aftermarket hood that's steel is the reflexxion - all the others are fiberglass or carbon fiber.

Here are a few pics of the cowl hood I have. And we're both red so you'll have a great view of what it'll look like. Good luck with the search.

No way. I love it the way it is. Lol. Although...I'll already be at the body shop for the rollpan. The cover's got a few chips and scrapes in her as you know. I could get that fixed....I'd have to think long and hard about that.:bling: Hah! This smiley so fits my nickname at work. Randomness..

Really....Sounds interesting. That would save some trouble.

Why does everyone call him Mick? Because he's Irish?

Let me know, I'll even drive up to get it! It's basically the same cover, just without the wing.

He called himself Mick when he was a n00b. He's still n00b to us, so we still call him Mick! :jester:

How is your ECC Hood holding up? Mine was all cracked to shit...good-lookin' hood, just a POS IMO. I've got the Cervini's now, and LOVE it....def. better than the ECC.

Cervini's Ram Air Hood:

http://www.jkbweb.net/images/CRW_3749.jpg

Overall, Fit/Finish of the Cervini's is better...but to be honest, there was work done to the hood to make it perfect...any good body shop will do that if you're willing to pay a little extra. The East Coast Customs hood had a shitty fit/finish (you can see in the pics), and was cracked everywhere....along the edge of the hood where it bows from the spring tension, the hinge mounts, latch mount, grille frame mounting points, around the scoop....literally, EVERYWHERE. I'd highly recommend any of the Cervini's hoods, or the AAR hoods...either the twin-scoop, or the Cowl hood like Rob has. Reflexxions hood is good as well, but IMO it's played-out...too many people have that...but if that's your taste, then by all means go for it.

Ultimately the decision will be what you want for your truck, so don't take any one opinion to heart as gospel. After all, that's all that they are...opinions.

My original plan was to go with the twin-scoop Cervini's hood right after I bought my truck...but got the East Coast hood for a good deal....used, wasn't TOOOOO cracked up for cheap...then it went downhill on me. Then I decided on getting the Cervini's single scoop (what I have now) to keep the general appearance of the truck...and got mine for a rippin' deal.... I like it so far, and it fits what I plan on eventually doing with the truck.

Ive never had any problems with it. It doesnt like the stock hood hinges but other than that no complaints.
Ive got a shaker sitting in my garage waiting to be installed.
