Hey all,
Welp, I have had the R/T sitting now for a little over a year. A combination of finishing my EE degree, and the trans taking a dump had shifted my priorities away from drag racing.
I'm done with the degree now, and have since had the tranny rebuilt. I'm looking to get some better traction at the strip. So, I have a few things in the cart at Summit:
HAL-RC1914P Front QA1's
HAL-TC2501P Rears
HAL-SS300LT Conversion mounts
HSS-80309 Hotchkis kit
I just wanted to confirm that these part numbers are correct, also if anyone knows of any better deals out there on these parts other than Summit, let me know. I have seen the Hotchkis kit for cheaper on Socal, but I have been hearing bad things regarding customer service (from quick reading on the Delphi forum, the forum I use to frequent some time ago). After getting these items I plan on getting at least Bogarts for the rear.... anyone have sizing info on the bogarts, or pics of them mounted. I also plan to get traction bars as well, thinking Slide-A-Links at the moment.
Anyhow, last time at the strip, with the P1, not the upgraded D1 and running 8lbs of boost the truck went 11.90. No weight reduction, spare, tailgate, sway bars intact. This ET was rolling into the throttle off the line, so I couldn't take advantage of the 2800 stall. If I tried to stall, it would just blow the ET streets lose, mostly due to the suspension bottoming...
Just asking for some opinions before I start plunking down large sums of ca$h.
