Has anyone out there run a Hairy glass cowl hood, and or tailgate on street. Just wondering how sturdy these products are. I am debating on purchasing a hood/ tailgate. Heck maybe even some doors. Just wondering if anyone out there has done this for street/strip R/T. Dan

I believe that their hood is intended for their front end. Last time I checked it was a lift off hood unless they now have other options. Their complete front end is 10" longer than stock. Intended for prostreet. I would give them a call on the hood thing. Someone here several years ago bought some of the doors from them and modded them to fit their R/T.

I think that was Barry Hunter, but I'm not sure he ever fitted the H-glass stuff.

I have Hairy Glass Tailgate, it's pretty flimsy, but light.
and it will have to trimmed to fit, and I'll use it for strip only along with my "in prrogress" Aluminum Tonneau.
For Safety, I'll use the stock tailgate on the street to protect the fuel cell a bit more.

I believe Mike Carlman has the Hairy Glass doors on his truck, and iirc he said they were a huge pain in the ass to get hung right. But they're really light :)

After the short lived run of the pro stock trucks in NHRA I picked up this slightly damaged carbon fiber front clip..I was originally going to make a tilt front end for my truck but after taking the front clip off my truck I figured there was too much alteration to the truck to make it feasable for me to do [there would be no going back if I ever wanted to].. Anyway just set it back in a corner and will dig it out if a full tube truck ever becomes a reality.. This clip is not quite like the Hairy Glass one and don't know who originally made it but it is defintly light weight.. Thought I had some pics of the clip set on the truck but I can't find em,,If I do I'll post em up..

Hey true blue, what was needed to make it possible for a tilt front end? I understand cutting on the radiator support, inner wheel wells ect.. Dan
