Just wondering, thier fancy catalog makes it seem like their stuff is sooooo superior, looks like the concours at Pebble Beach folks believe in it. But what about for us regular guys? Is it worth it?

They have some nice stuff, but for the most part the stuff you can buy at Vatozone, Pepito Boys, Napa will do just fine for us at a lot lower price and no shipping.

Its like any of the high end car stuff, rebadged and sold at a higher price. His polisher is just a porter cable etc. I use Meguiars extensively and love the trade off of results/price. NXT wax comes off so easy. The Zaino guys are fan boys of course but all the steps, no thanks. I bought from www.properautocare.com/ (http://www.dakotart.com/forum/www.properautocare.com/) and they have an extensive selection and their tech tips and how to's rule. They sell Blackfire products but I don't know anything about them. I don't think us guys with older paint need to invest that kind of money in products. A new high end car is a different story.

I haven't used one of these. But, the detailer that wet sanded & buffed my r/t uses this buffer. she swears by it.

I then had her use the Zaino system for the final polish. I've been using Zaino since I bought the r/t in 2000. I haven't found anything I like better.

Hey Pat,
Did you enter the car show there last weekend? We're entered in one here this weekend and the Mopar Show in Richland next weekend.

That's just a polisher. A buffer in the wrong hands will show primer. The polisher's are as close to idiot proof as possible. Did you say She?

Yup, She! She does most all of the street rods/show cars around here. She and her hubby have 4 of they're own. Including a 70 Boss 302 Mustang.

Yes, I replied to your e-mail. Hanging around the show ALL DAY gets kinda boring tho. I made myself go talk to owners of cars I liked or held some personal interest for me. Like the 48 chev Fleetmaster, like my first car.
