Well, it's time for me to upgrade my stereo. After debating, I went with the new IDA-X100 head unit. I know that I may be loosing some sound quality by not having a cd player, but can't remember the last time I played a cd in the truck. I hope to add a dvd/cd changer some day in the future. I still have a monitor from my original setup that I would like to use with the changer for viewing movies. Anyway, here's some pics. It's going to be a while before I can get the subs installed b/c I'm still trying to figure out how I want to do the box. The components are in the stock infinity locations for now. I want to mess around with the imprint software first, but think I may have to relocate the tweeters and maybe the drivers.

I needed somewhere to mount the amp. Glad I still had the stock tray. So after I removed the thunderform box, I reinstalled the tray and made a spot to hold the amp. Turned out ok.

WOW,I haven't seen a tuner only in a car stereo before.I'm big on alpines.I remember a time when you had to buy an amp to run an alpine because they never had built in ones.I was kinda dissapointed with the stats/spec's on this one though.I would have thought that without the cd player a) it wouldn't have any amp at all.b)the amp would have been a hell of alot bigger.Your kinda stuck in the middle with this one, because the stock amp just isn't big enough for anything. But all in all i think your headed for a killer system in your truck.
P.S. i wasn't trying to rip your system,i was making a comment that ALPINE should have done a better job designing it.
