Hey, this is a really dumb and short question.

Do you know if the stock CD player plays CD-R/RW disks? I tried putting in a CD-RW in it and it showed an ERR, but when I put in a CD-R I could hear it spin but it would not read.

Some of the recordable cds will not play. I've found the cheaper cds work, but some of the more expensive ones won't play.

Thanks Jason, which ones have you found to work? The ones that I tried were the Memorex Music CD-R.

Ah shit, I can't remember the name. Just the cheap ones at Wal-Mart! LOL Don't buy a big pack of em, cuz they may not work either, gotta do trial and error.

when you burn your disc make sure in the program options that you don't include the data ie- name and artist of song- The data on the disc will really confuse the stock head unit and not want to read it.

Also make sure when you burn the cd that you burn it as an audio cd and not an mp3 cd.

lol...yeah I did that.

They work just fine in my other car (05 Nissan Maxima), but not in the truck. I tried checking on the software (Windows Media Player) to see if there was a way to switch the data on the songs off, but could not find anything.

This is just really aggravating after spending time making some mix music cd's for when I'm cruising in the truck and they don't work at all.

btw, bigpoor...what kind of setup do you have suspension-wise on your truck and how is the ride versus stock? I really like the stance of it.
