Who did you have build the mounts?

Is the pump designed to be mounted there? I thought it needed to be close to the tank?

Good stuff

I saw you posted a thread about a solid mount group buy but doesnt seem to be much interest.

How much did they run ya?

the pump can be mounted where ever. sealed motor. as far as the tan it can be mounted where ever also, 200 psi pump the solinoid has to be close to the intake thats all.

The meth pump location is clever and well hidden, but not ideal. The tank's pickup should be higher than the pump's inlet or it will not prime reliably, or at all.

Mine is bolted to the front bumper bracket, you would never guess unless I told you.

That's what I was thinking for some reason. I'm wondering if anyone has modified a 99 style washer fluid bottle to use as a tank, and if so what exactly needs to be done for it to serve both purposes?

All you have to do is drill a hole and install a bulkhead fitting with sealant. Snow recommends the automotive version of "GOOP." You will be able to use the factory low level sensor light, which is pretty convient.

If you wan to add a low level sensor to an aftermarket resevoir, the stock sensor is availble for 7 dollars on rockauto. Then you can extend the factory washer level wires to w/e you have the resevoir and use the stock connector.

I'm guessing you overlooked my set-up, or forgot about it.
I have my pump in the same location under the wiper cowl, and used a 97-99 style washer fluid reservoir for my methanol. Over 1.5years so far. Works great for me!

FYI: The pump is higher than the reservoir and primes itself by the way, it's not a gravity fed unit :jester:
You can test this by leaving the solenoid off and putting the tube that comes out of pump in a can (or back in the reservoir in my case). Turn the key to on and watch it cycle the methanol, priming the setup all the way to the solenoid's location. They reccomend putting the can and pump close to the injection area...but the main item that needs to be as close as possible is the solenoid. Mine is 2-3 inches from the jet

No issues at all priming. I have pics of the modded tank, but they are on my camera and I'll have to dig them up. The big hole; I found a plastic plug for it, than got some RV tank sealant and sealed it up really well. I also put a metal plate on the bottom and tapped it so the hose that goes in wasn't fitted to the plastic tank. Just to make sure it would last longer instead of threading the plastic reservoir.
Working two jobs, but i'll try to get pics up as soon as I can
