Well time for a rebuild i might try and reuse this piston. Well at least it didn't tear the block up.

damn d00d! that's nuts just from the few times you sprayed it. wonder hope much the nitrous burp had to do with that.

dunno but i am glad it stayed together i actually drove it prob 200miles the rest of the week. i think when i had the nitrous backfire the intake valves were open on 3 cylinders causing extreme pressure cracking the rings and the ring glands on the pistons or the ring gap closed up and broke the rings and the pistons. Dunno but I didn't see a single scratch on the bores of the block.

i didn't even get to spray 2 bottles through it prob 3-100shots and 3-150shots, 1-75shot, and a couple of 2-5 bursts on the street w/150shots.

haha i'm getting the block fully prepped. I'm not going to chance it. I'm hoping i can get the block square decked, bored & honed, main bearings align honed, and clearanced for stroker crank if it needs if for around 600 bucks.

That sucks, what caused the backfire and how convinced are you that it was the culprit?

If you wanna try and rebuild it on the cheap, I have a few stock piston/rod assemblies laying around. I'll give them to you for shipping.
