Maybe a few different types of TBs, intake manifolds, PCMs, injectors, etc. Will be interesting to see the progress.

There are going to be a lot of people pissed off people. I can hear it all ready, this is not Nascar, blah blah blah....It's supposed to be stock car racing. Should get the Challenger, Camaro, and Mustang out there racing with stock engines, then we could see some real power making it to the showroom.

Don't think Nascar will have much to offer in advancements to FI!!
Drag Racing has pretty much taken EFI to a whole new level on it's own.
2000hp fuel pumps

500lb/hr fuel injectors

2008 cfm Throttle Bodies
http://www.wilsonmanifolds.com/products/throttle-bodies-/4-barrel/4500-4bbl-throttle-bodies.html
And the list is endless these days with the upgrade options of EFI systems themselves.
My BigStuff 3 is Sequential and Dual O2 with 2 stages of Nitrous control, Boost control. I can have it upgraded to 32 Injectors for staged fuel delivery for BIG BOOST, also Coil-On-Plug control, launch control, transmission control, and a whole bunch of other stuff I can't remember and I don't need right now.
So NO I don't really see NASCAR bringing anything new to the EFI table other than maybe some new companies or cheaper systems for N/A applications. Advancements NOPE!!

I think it'll be interesting to see what type of intake manifold configurations they come up with as to low end torque and top end power.

Their argument that no manufacturers are running carbs is stupid when nothing that they use in NASCAR is from a production car anyway, so why should that matter?
Wasn't there talk of bringing back the TransAm series, now that we have Challengers, Mustangs and Camaros all back in production? Now that would be cool.

It would be awesome if they had to use the engines that were being produced, stick with the same car, but have to work around the engine.

That would be a great series. Race 'em on Sunday, sell 'em on Monday, the way it should be.

to compare drag racing to nascar? no, drag racing is all out power, nascar is restricted cfm and slower racing

Dale Jr even mentioned this several years ago in an Interview when asked about the Future of Nascar?
I forget the exact question but his response pointed out that they still run with 50yr old technology that's jut been refined over and over. He also went on to point out the fact that there are cars on the show room floor that could be made faster and easier to handle with minimal work.

Those engine aren't built for Low End Torque.
They usually don't get going good til they are over 8500rpms.
They usually maintain. 9000-9500 for most of the race.

Exactlly why I don't see them having anything to offer in the Advancements Department.
When was the last time we seen or heard of a Carburator Technolody advangement out of Nascar?
Drag Racing on the other hand got so carried away that they now have restrictions on certain carbs for certain classes.
Split Dominators come to mind.

NASCAR can't use a showroom car....No fucking way.
Think about it...Any Mustangs out there that can keep a driver safe with an 80G hit?
Nope....Not even close.

That is ignorant if you think I meant a car off the showroom floor. Of course it would be a different body and safety out the ass, but they should have to use the engines that are produced in those "stock" cars.
So dodge would have to use the 6.1L Hemi out of the Challenger.
