Ha Ha!

Naw,,, I just finally got some shit straightened with DFI and managed to cut a good 60' for the first time this year.
I'm gonna try leaning it out just a tad on the big end and see if I can get 120 mph back again. It should have an 11.19 in it if I do.

George Scott from TTi put the base tune together and Jess and I have been tweaking just a bit in certain areas.

Once the base tune is done, it's pretty easy to tweak A/F and timing by changing the values in the boxes. You just have to data log, then look at where you want to change,, tweak the values a little,, then make another run and look at the data. If the changes help, you're good! If they don't, you just go back to the base tune again.

We were able to lean out the A/F and retard timing a bit between 2450 and 2650 rpm (which is where I launch the truck). That created more heat which spools the turbo faster and a little bit higher at launch.. I went from launching at around 3.5 to 5.5 lbs. of boost last year,,, to launching at 6.5 to 8.3 lbs. this year. Any higher than 9 and I just blow the tires off, so I'm in the sweet spot now.
Now I just gotta lean out the A/F in the 5400 + rpm range and see if I can get a 1/2 mph out of it.

yeah, i just didn't have much track time last year, or in previous years for that matter, to realy play with it. but that's what i've been doing, little tweaks here and there to see what it does.

I'm very impressed with the numbers you've put up.Some of the trucks on this website are just as impressive.I never in a million years would think an R/T would go that fast.I remember an original write up in a magazine about 8-9 years ago, they had an R/T shootout and i believe the fastest was around 14.20's.:hail::hail::hail:to you guys for raising the bar!

That was probably the Sport Truck shoot out we did. Danno was there with Barney and he was the fastest truck and spraying nitrous. He also blew his head gasket. Was a fun day all around, but hot as fuck. 100+ temps, high altitude, and un-prepped track didn't help anyones times that day. Unfortunately, they didn't make a single mention of the conditions we were racing in like they did the the Lightning shootout they did a couple months prior. No love for the R/Ts.
