Im looking to relocate my fuel tank to where the spare tire sits..
in order to fit my exhaust setup

Im wondering if its possible to cut the lines and put fitters in to connect new hose to extend further back or do i have to run new plumbing all the way through?

Has someone done something like this? If so could you give me some tips.

Thanks

I WOULD not use barbed fitings and hose clamps, not saying you are, but don't even think about it.

I'm going to have to use a different gas tank as a dakota tank is to long
Space is 32" by 28" so i believe a 90's b2200 should work

Im wondering what kind of connectors to use to connect the lines?
All im doing is extending them from along with the wires

Fuel cell and custom fuel lines would be the easiest and best way to do it right.

What gas tank out of another make of vehicle would fit

32" x 28" x 9"

Need it to fit where spare tire is located

Where are you planning on putting the filler neck?
I was considering this also because I want true dual exhausts exiting before the rear tires.
I was thinking about making the tailight able to swing away and have the filler behind it. Not sure how to go about it though.

The return line shouldn't need anything special as it should not be under any kind of pressure. The feed line, however, is a different story.
Maybe cut the hard line and put some flared connectors on each end and put a filler peice in between.
I've never really looked into it. It would depend on what type of connectors it's already using.
When I do it, I'm just planning on replacing the entire feed line with -6 or -8an braided stainless. Maybe overkill but shouldn't let me down.

There is no return line, just a single line going straight to the motor.
Im buying a 20Gal Fuel cell, cutting out the spare tire frame area
Then cutting a hole in the fuel cell and placing the stock pump in there.
But this is going to be awhile away

The stock pump and sender are held in be a big plastic "nut" that threads on the top of the oem fuel tank, it's all plastic! Just do a fuel cell and be done with it!
