Been doin' some measurements on the R/T...as you can see in my sig. that it is lowered. The guy that had it lowered it by heating the front coils...I know it's old school but they're uneven...*2'3" drivers side and 2'3" 1/2" on the passenger side...1/2 in. off now I know why I'm getting an uneven ride.
What I need is the measurements from a stock and from a Hotchkis TVP R/T so that I can see how much he lowered it and how much difference mine sits to the Hotchkis kit. I would like to keep it the height it is now...Tryin' to figure what size coils to buy to keep the height it is.
*Measured from the ground to the bottom of the flare.Tire size is 255/40/17.
If I measured wrong let me know the best way....or hell if there's someone close to Peoria I'll just have to make a road trip....Always up for a road trip....
an easy way to measure to compare with someone else with the same wheels (stock r/t wheels in this case) is to measure from the lip of the top of the rim and say the bottom of the fender flare as things like tire size wont affect that measurement. If the wheels are different then its easiest to measure from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender. I would get my measurements out for you but I dont have hotchkis.... yet.

Ok I remeasured...From top lip of the rim to the bottom of the flare is 6" drivers side and 6 1/2" on the passenger side. I just need to know the different measurements...No matter what you have...stock,Lowered coils or Hotchkis so that I know the right coils to get.Yes I have stock R/T rims...

Measureing from the fender lip to the rim lip. With stock 17's at stock height is 8.5. With a TVS, I believe it is one inch lower making it 7.5.

Ok that's a start...Guess I'm going to be looking at 3" coils to lower it 2" from stock so that I stay with the height that I am now. Any advice on the best coils:

All the Hotchkis kits I've seen installed lower the R/T at least 1.5".
