After weeks Summit ended up sending me a dual plane 4bbl m1, so I need to figure out which replacement I actually need, though both appear on backorder (great). Right or left linkage? I know it sounds stupid but keep confusing myself by how you're looking at the M1 etc. I'd think right linkage?

Facing the motor, the linkage is on the left, but I would call them and ask.

The 'hand' of auto parts is ALWAYS referenced sitting behind the wheel. Right linkage is what you need. Left linkage for carb/transplant.

OK, this intake, with a part number I can find nowhere online, has the 4 runners, but at the top of the runners, there's a piece of metal seperating each runner (instead of 4 open runners, turns into 8) - Isn't this dual plane? Don't the singles have just 4 big runner?

A dual plane can be identified by looking straight down onto the plenum floor(s) and noting if it's divided left to right @ two elevations. A profile from the outside will usually show runners @ two different elevations as well. If it's described as a dual plane, it quite likely is.

Yeah, that's what my friend was saying last night. This is just a seperation directly down the center of each runner.
Anyone got a pic looking down their m1s?

All M1s that I'm aware of are single plane and are Magnum head specific. MP's dual plane aren't refered to as M1. There are plenty of single plane for LA, W2,W5,W7, W8, W9 heads that do not carry the MI name.

Yup, that's the fairly new replacement for the old Zeus P5249816. It's cast a little better, but still has some big ole ridges in it that could have been avoided.

So it is what I need? That part number threw me off, looking at part numbers on Mancini's site.
