Seems like lots of guys have got their motors nearing completion so here is a quick update on mine.... Trying to get ready for a scheduled local meet for May 3rd.
As most recall I cracked the top deck of the stock block late last fall. So another used magnum block (No R3's to be found) is underway here's where we are at.
- Used block was hot tanked and checked for cracks etc.
- Block was deck aligned
- Hughes main stud girdle kit being used this time round.
- Rough bore of cylinders completed awaiting final hone.
- Partial Hard Blok fill completed.
Still do go...
- Final bore/hone of cylinders likely today.
- Final clean up of block
- Redline to assemble motor
- Installation of motor
- fabrication of throttle linkage for new TB
- 100 mile breakin period
- Set final DFI Dyno tune adjusting program for new cam and TB combination
