Well as most of you have read I had a nitrous backfire which trashed my K&N intake system. So i called customer service to see if it was possible to purchase individual parts to a kit. He asked me what happened and what part i needed I told him i had a nitrous backfire which caused the tube to crack approx. 8 inches. He said ah its no big deal just send me some pics and we will send you a new one. I asked him If i needed to pay for anything and he said he would put it in as an under warranty which means i pay no money.

So they know you've actually bought a K&N FIPK and aren't just piecing one together using their warranty for free parts.

k&n has a recall on the tubes for dakotas because they sag and hold the throttle open there is a code on the bottom of the tube you give them that and you get a new one. its only for some years tho.
