Guys with your nice, new, pretty looking motors sitting on stands waiting to go in...post up some pics. Mainly looking for two people to post. I saw them in other posts, but now cant seem to find them now. One had a nice all black theme going on and the other was in an avatar...aluminum or painted silver heads. Any and everybody else is encouraged to post theirs as well.

cool, you know they're going to turn all dull and discolor the 1st time you start it, right ? I see you point about the contrast though. I did a similar thing with black and silver in my engine bay.

How did you get the alternator to fit with those valve covers ?

On the passenger side cover I notched it to clear the alternator,,then took a piece of 1" aliminum tubeing cut it in half so i had a half circle that would cover the hole and leave the necessary clearance..Then just miged the piece in place..

I figured you either notched it, or made a new alt. bracket. I love those VCs, good show

I suppose you could call it a "magnum block" because it originally had magnum heads on it.

Now thats pretty slick I can say thats the first time i've seen la heads on a magnum

Thanks:D I like being different sometimes.

This was an experiment. Everyone has gone with 408's of different kinds, and I liked the idea but decided to run LA style heads. We'll see if the different parts gained me any more hp when I get it on the dyno later this summer.

I am with you on this, and if I ever get enough money thrown together to afford a R3 block it would probably have a ported/polished indy heads/ intake on it.

Same here!! My current/future build would be a Mopar 360 block (they're .030 over) with some ported & polished Eddys, my 4bbl M1 and my 52mm TB, maybe even a 4bbl tb or accel 3bbl. All NA...

I have PPH headers laying my room, then a nice x-pipe true dual (I guess 3" TD) with spintechs...sweetness.
