hi i need some help with ordering a suspension for my r/t i am currently deployed to iraq and have bought a r/t dakota r/c since beeing here and am planning on putting a set of 20x8.5 rims on it with some 275/45 tires on them and i want to lower the truck just to get rid of the wheel well gap i don't want it to tuck just get rid of the gap can someone please shed some light on this for me as to how low what brand of suspension is better and so on and i could even change tire size if need be thankyou very much joe

Hotchkis TVS makes a great kit. Don't know if a 1" drop is enough for you though.
and go with a 275/40/20 tire. A 45 series is pretty tall. The 40 is half an inch taller than stock. I'm also running 275/30's up front to keep from rubbing.

Here's some pics of my truck - it has the Hotchkis suspension plus 20x8.5" wheels. I'm using 295/40-20's in the back, and 275/35-20's up front - no rubbing at all so far.

i have the 17x9 rt rims, im runnung 255 60 r17 allround yokohama advan st, im getting ready to install the tvs rt on my rt, do you think it will rub

hotchkis will lower R/T's 1" in front and rear.

i rubbed with 255/55/17's. so my guess is yes up front.

i cant see that 255 55 is the stock tire on a rt
