After almost a year and a half of separation, the R/T and I are finally living at the same address again! Got her home yesterday and gave her a bath today. Finally washed off the bugs from the trip home from the St. Louis Nats in '07!! Nothing special, just a couple snapshots. Once she's running I'll get some good pics. Already have a painter lined up to do the hood for me come spring time. :biggthumpup:

They're powdercoated. But if I had it to do over again, I'd just get 'em painted, can't powdercoat the centercaps and getting them colormatched was a pain.

It's funny, I've only had the R/T home a day and already two neighbors have come over to talk to me about it. :D I warned them both that it was really loud, but added that I would try not to start it up too early in the morning (well, except for when I take it to the cars&coffee meet that starts at 7am lol).

As stout as that motor is, I predict it will never see any juice. At least, not before the tubs, narrowed 9", 4 link and HUGEASS tires.

I am going to try to get it done soon - I think we are going to make a move out of CA - this liberal ass state just isnt the place for a small business owner anymore :( - hasnt been for quite some time but getting worse daily.

So I need to have it drivable to move it again - I cant afford to keep towing it around everywhere, LOL!

Black RC back in the day it was the truck to beat. Only him and Scott Q were in the 11's.

There was a couple of others running 10's/11's at the time (Justin Vincent ran 11.9x at the 2002 DRTC meet in Tucson, Big Bird ran 10.77 in Houston, etc.), but people certainly had their eye on those two for a long time.

Difference is, I don't need to spend any more money, just need to put my hands on it. Only need to rewire the ignition, move the ps return line from the hydroboost unit and then clean up some wires/hoses. At least that's all I can think off of the top of my head to have it running and streetable.

Its fuel injected - i think the carb was just for the break-in/initial dyno pulls with it? I know dave had custom fuel rails made, I am not sure how they mount to the carb??? :jester:

Might go back to EFI later, or I might just say fuck it and rip everything out and keep the carb, haven't decided yet. Right now I just want it on the road. :D

Yup, it's going to be an experiment, to see what still works. PCM is still hooked up, gonna get it running on the carb and see whether or not the trans and dash still work, alternator too.

I don't think SCT has been able to change the auto to a manual, but Martin Saine does have a manual vb for the 46RE. :biggthumpup:

Sean flashed out the Auto for my 727 swap, but it was still a light show till I killed the CEL bulb and the dash shift indicator...

Easy fix would be a manual VB....

That would hold up to his power.....Not likely without a full rebuild. I think Dave has a Power Demon built tranny.

Hell, he even has an 8" 4K PTC converter, Caltracs, split monos, a correct langth drive shaft and custom tranny support he won't need....Not to mention everything else. Hell, just buy my truck and drop your motor in it.

Well I know he already ran in the 11.40's and is going to go with better heads and a bigger cam. So I think he will be able to keep up if not beat it.

when i was at PIE on the chassis dyno, chris did the math with the drive train loss and he said my motor made around 550-560 at the motor. i am looking forward to lining up with dave in the spring!! He will be tough to beat!!! NO spray:nono::jester:

As far as the trans/crank sensor debacle. If you have to remove the trans, you might as well fix the crank sensor while it's exposed...

I would just put a manual VB shift kit or buy a manual VB for your transmission. You should nearly break even if you sell the current VB, it's not like they go bad. If somebody is anal they can throw a new sperator plate in it.
