Div. 1 T-shirts

I want to get a bunch of shirts made up for us NE guys/gals.
So I'm looking for ideas. I'm not sure what do do as far as design. I never had t-shirts made so I'm new to this. I guess it depends on cost. What would be the best? Actual photos or more like the Nats shirts( line art)??

I am open to everybody's ideas and suggestions.
I want to make these nice so everybody would want one.

Also to the older Execs how freely can we use the DRTC symbol?

Personally I think line art always looks better on t-shirts. I don't think there would be a problem using the DRTC logo, since they for a division of the club.

I agree that line art looks better. Just scope out any other 'car shirt' for angles that look good, and things to avoid. I always wondered who did the artwork for tha national shirts. They look professional.

If you've already got a shirt hookup that's cool, if you want me to get involved and take care of it for 10 bucks a piece I can do that. Hey Brian, I just came along this thread. Did you ever get any final ideas? One thought that came to my head is we have the logo for the Cecil National Meet around somewhere. Maybe you could do something with that since it has already been made into a screen.

ive been looking at ideas and i think for the front have the r/t logo were the pocket would be and on the back have it say drtc nation D-1 across the shoulders then under it have what bryan said the outline of the northeast states outlines then have a r/t or 2 ghosted in behind the outlines or have all of it outlined

I got shirts for my Landscape Biz for $3 a piece with one standard design on back these where White cotton T's and you need to buy 100 for this Price.They where Sm, Med ,Lrg, Xl,( XXL will be more $) So for us to do frt and more involved back design it will be more, but if I get a definite design I could find out $ prices. Not really worried about the design, they all look pretty cool. My only suggestion is if an actually truck gets put on the shirt then it should be stock or maybe just lowered and thats about it. Not everybody's tastes are the same so if the truck on the shirt is modded with this or that, it might make people not want the shirt.

If we ever go through with this, what does everyone think about leaving out "Division 1" since that is sort of meaningless to the unknowing. I think having "North East" instead of "North East Division 1" would look best and make the most sense to "everyone" (meaning those who know nothing about our club).

Okay this price of $3 is for 1 side design frt or back and only white T's they went from small med and Lrg ( XXl )was more $$ so we need a sample to get to the T guy so he can give a price then we need a Amount so that we can submit an order. So the T shirt guy called me today here is the good the bad and the ugly of it! They Need $150 up front to pay for screen then we can get size Small thru Xtra Large for $12.00 each that's a white T with front Club Logo and rear M with R/T Notheast. He said white would be only way to go if you want to see all the detail in Logo's.For XXL and XXXL it is $2.00 more (sorry guys) He can go all the way to 5X if needed.The usually only take order's of 100 or better at these prices, so we are getting a break on price for 50-75 shirts I doubt we will sell 75 what do you all think??? I put it all out there. I just want a Nice product to rep the NE Chapter.So get your order in ! I'll try and make the logo a little sharper. I just installed Linux on my machine so I'll have to figure out how to edit with linux software. I dual booted so its still possible to get to my windows 7 install. Either way I can sharpen it up I think.

You did a good job with the design. I just noticed that the rest of the back is pretty crispy, and the R/T sort of didn't match the rest. :biggthumpup:

In all honesty, I've never had a t-shirt made so I don't even know if the slightly blurred edges would affect the print of the shirt...

There is an issue when trying to resize the images. If i go smaller with the RT it gets jagged around the edges. If i go larger with the M it gets distorted. I can mess with it some more its not that big a deal. But resizing has weird issues.

Before you go crazy trying to make it perfect, feel free to wait and see if Chas knows if cleaning up the image will even make a difference in the final product. I'm sure he can ask the t-shirt guy, or maybe even that guy will say something to him when he sees the image.

So the T shirt guy called me today here is the good the bad and the ugly of it! They Need $150 up front to pay for screen then we can get size Small thru Xtra Large for $12.00 each that's a white T with front Club Logo and rear M with R/T Notheast. He said white would be only way to go if you want to see all the detail in Logo's.For XXL and XXXL it is $2.00 more (sorry guys) He can go all the way to 5X if needed.The usually only take order's of 100 or better at these prices, so we are getting a break on price for 50-75 shirts I doubt we will sell 75 what do you all think??? I put it all out there. I just want a Nice product to rep the NE Chapter.So get your order in ! Yea cause you can't dispute it. So if you take my 24 dollars and run I will just have to go put a dent in your truck and call it even. hahah. They don't charge fees for gifts. Only use it when you really trust someone or its a small amount of money.
